Where KCH houses are — Seoul neighborhoods
All of KCH's active houses are in Mapo-gu and Seodaemun-gu, in northwest Seoul — around Hongdae, Sinchon, Mangwon, Hapjeong, and Seongsan. These areas sit next to each other and share a lot of the same character: university-heavy, walkable, and full of cafes and cheap food.
Here's what each one is actually like. For exact addresses and how far a specific house is from anywhere, use the interactive map or a room's own page — we don't publish fixed walking times here since they depend on which exact house you end up in.
Sinchon
Sinchon is a university district in Seodaemun-gu, home to Yonsei University, Ewha Womans University, and Sogang University, all in the same area. Streets around Sinchon and Ewha Womans University stations are dense with cheap student restaurants, cafes, and bars — it's built around a student population and feels like it.

Hongdae
Hongdae (around Hongik University) is one of Seoul's best-known nightlife and arts districts — live music venues, street performances, indie shops, and a young, international crowd, especially on weekend nights. It's also right next to Sinchon, so the two areas blend into each other.
Mangwon
Mangwon is quieter and more residential, built around Mangwon Market — a traditional market known for its street food, now surrounded by newer cafes and small shops. It's a short walk to the Han River park on the Mangwon side.
Seongsan
Seongsan is a residential neighborhood near Seoul World Cup Stadium and Nanji Hangang Park, one of the larger riverside parks in the city. It's calmer than Hongdae itself while still being close to it.
Hapjeong
Hapjeong sits along the Han River next to Hongdae, with a cluster of cafes and a more relaxed pace than central Hongdae — popular for river walks and sunset views near Yanghwa Bridge.
