KCH is a community, not just a room
Kim's Community House (KCH) runs co-living share houses in Seoul for international and exchange students — furnished rooms, a shared kitchen and living room, and a house full of people from different countries. Here's what that means in practice, and why we built it this way.
Love, Fun and Share
Our story
That line has described KCH from the start: Love, Fun and Share. A shared house works best when the people in it actually get along and do things together, not just split the rent and stay out of each other's way.
KCH started with a handful of shared apartments around Hongdae and Sinchon and has grown one house at a time from there, still in the same part of Seoul.
You're choosing a household, not a floor plan
When students apply, the questions that come up most aren't about square meters — they're about who else lives there, how many housemates there'll be, whether the house tends to run lively or quiet, and whether it's mixed-gender. That's really what you're picking when you pick a KCH room: a household, not just a bed.
We keep the rules short on purpose: no curfew, and no long list of house rules — just be considerate of the people you live with. Bring friends over, cook together, or keep to yourself when you want to. It's your home for however long you're here, and the FAQ covers the practical details (deposits, contracts, utilities).

We take care of your life in Seoul
Moving to a new country for a semester comes with logistics that have nothing to do with the room itself — international transfers, registering your address, figuring out where things are. We've been doing this long enough to help with the parts that aren't obvious from abroad, and you deal with us directly, not a call center.
Don't just take our word for it
KCH sharehouses were the setting for Welcome to Everybody's House, a KBS World TV reality show about exchange students living together in Seoul. Past tenants have also left reviews and videos of real house life — trips, camping, house events — rather than staged photos.
Two sister brands
KCH tenants also get free or discounted access to what our two sister brands run: Kim's Community Travel (KCT) organizes trips around Korea, and Student Life Seoul (SLS) runs parties and social events for exchange students. See what we actually do together →
Also hiring
Alongside tenants, KCH takes on interns — several of them former or current tenants themselves. Read about internships at KCH →
